Frequently Asked Questions

+ What is the difference between Relationship Coaching and Life Coaching in this context?

Relationship coaching will help you focus on goals within your relationship to improve its harmony, to reduce conflicts, to improve your sex life` and more. Relationship coaching can also be about helping you to get the type of relationship that you want.

Life coaching is going to be more focused on helping you achieve a personal goal. Typically life coaching is going to be a more intensive and connected program that is built specifically for you and the amount of support you feel like you need to achieve your goal.

+ Are your services the same as psychological therapy or couples therapy?

No, I am not a licensed psychologist or counselor. Although there maybe overlapping topics and discussions (such as strategies to manage anxiety or recommendations to participate in journaling) I am not able to support you through a mental health crisis. I encourage everyone to seek the appropriate help from a counselor if they are experiencing any mental health issues. We will be focusing more specifically on your present and future than your past.

+ Do you take insurance? Are any of your services reimbursable?

Relationship coaching and life coaching are not services that are currently covered by any medical insurance plans.

I am a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy in the state of WA and MA. I am not currently credentialed with any insurance providers for this service. However, you may submit your bill for physical therapy to your insurance for reimbursement. The coverage you receive will be based on your personal plan and you will be subject to out of network costs and your deductible. I always will recommend that you discuss with your insurance company directly before assuming you will receive reimbursement from them.

+ How do I pay for your services?

Currently I am accepting payments through Venmo or PayPal prior to the service.

+ I bought a package, but I found I don’t need them all, can I return some of the visits I didn’t use?

Since packages are already discounted sessions they are not refundable.

+ What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellation of your appointment must occur 24 hours in advance. There are no refunds for services. Last minute cancellations result in forfeit of that visit. If you arrive more than 20 minutes late to your appointment I will not be able to see you for that visit. If we find that you are regularly late and cancelling it may become appropriate to discuss discontinuation of the service.

+ I am currently seeing a psychologist, will the two of you communicate?

I am always happy to consult directly with your therapist regarding your care. The amount this occurs depends on them and on your desire for that to occur. Your privacy is of the utmost importance. Your therapist is always welcome to contact me to ask questions and I am always happy to relay a message to them from you with your consent.

+ I would like to participate in relationship coaching, does my partner need to attend with me?

No, although they are welcome to. I am happy to work with you directly on your relationship goals or with the two of you together. Most individuals choose to have the sessions privately to work on things behind the scenes of their relationship.

It may become appropriate for your partner to join you during some of your sessions if you would like. There may be times when I recommend that they join us but it is never required. It is also possible for your partner to independently see me and utilize one of the sessions that you purchased to help me get a new perspective on the relationship.

+ Are there specific BDSM acts that you are unable to provide hands on education with?

I am not trained in rope suspension. I do not teach any blood or needle play. I am not experienced in administering fire play.
